Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us,

to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

(Ephesians 3:20)

God has provided the vision and the resources to complete a beautiful new fellowship hall, a couple classrooms, a new kitchen and welcoming entry way. Let us praise God for such a gift and pray that the use of this building will bring glory to our Glorious LORD and King. A group of about 20 people gathered Sunday evening to discuss the direction Gloria Dei might take to use this building to minister and serve this neighborhood. God has planted a number of visions in the hearts of the people. 2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us that, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” And this is what we will do. People of Gloria Dei are called to a time of dedicated prayer and fasting as we seek God’s will for the ministries of this church. Forward in Faith is a movement that started through prayer with a singular focus on utmost obedience to God believing that this is His will for His children. You are encouraged to join in these prayer opportunities as best suits you.

1. Personal and private prayer is the 1st and most important opportunity.

2. Find a prayer buddy to share in prayer and to be held accountable to pray often.

3. The sanctuary will be open for prayer on Wednesday afternoons from 2:30-4:00. Other times for prayer in the sanctuary can be open if you want to set it up.

4. Prayer ideas and prompts will be available in a variety of places in the following weeks.

Begin now using the the Lord’s Prayer as a template. Meditate and pray each line of this prayer that Jesus gave to His disciples as found in Matthew 6:9-13 New Living Translation (NLT)

Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us today the food we need,

and forgive us our sins,as we have forgiven those who sin against us.

And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.
